For nearly 50 years, John Boeddeker had an office unlike almost anyone else’s — and for many of golf’s greatest tournaments, that office was 120 feet in the air.
John spent his career in sports television working with ESPN, ABC Sports, NBC Sports and CBS Sports at some of the biggest sporting events in the world. As a six-time Emmy Award-winning television camera operator high above the golf course on a camera crane, John had a view that few people ever experienced.
Every photograph in My Office Window was taken by John from that elevated position — approximately 120 feet above the tournament.
From high above the fairways and greens, John captured a unique perspective of professional golf: the courses, the crowds, the players and the remarkable settings that surrounded them.
These weren’t photographs taken from outside the ropes or from the gallery. They were quite literally the view from his office window.
Over the decades, John accumulated a remarkable photographic record of the places and moments he witnessed while working high above professional golf.
After nearly five decades in sports broadcasting, My Office Window brings those images together and allows John to share a perspective of golf that very few people have ever had the opportunity to see.
